Play with Purpose – linking sustainability, circular economy and transformation

Author: Dr Tammi Sinha
Service design in higher education has the potential to transform the experience of student and academic alike. Using these principles brings the whole self to the task in hand.
Whether it is for designing programmes, modules, or individual sessions. Service design has the opportunity for all stakeholders to co create value within these spaces. This chapter explores the use of design thinking to create and deliver a new module – ecological economics.
The chapter will enquire into: How can design thinking enhance the design and delivery of modules? What are the lessons learnt when taking a service design approach in module design and delivery? What are the benefits and dis-benefits of modular assessments? Should every module have a soundtrack?
Tammi’s inspiration for her chapter is outlined in the video below and linked to a Padlet board open to input any thoughts or comments you may have.
